“Creativity is like freedom: Once you taste it, you cannot live without it. It is a transformational force, enhancing self-esteem and self-empowerment.”  ~ Dr. Natalie Rogers Founder of Person-Centered Expressive Arts

Expressive arts uses movement, sound, the visual arts, creative writing, and drama to further self-expression, insight, creativity, and higher states of consciousness. Working with expressive arts does not require being an artist (although that’s fine too)! The focus is  on the process—–not the end result. This powerful work can foster emotional healing, resolve inner conflict, and reawaken your natural creativity.

I’m a Certified as both a Life Coach and Expressive Arts Facilitator and Coach  and my mission is to hold powerful, safe space for you to rediscover your life’s purpose “AFTER 50” and reconnect with your joy! The programs I offer can help you enhance your overall health and well-being, reconnect with your natural  creativity, and learn to play again.

The absence of play is not work – it is depression.”

What is Play? “Time spent without purpose.”

Dr. Stuart Brown – National Institute for Play

Expressive arts may be just the jump start you need, and can even help you feel better physically!  Read about research on the use of expressive arts for health issues.

“Expressive arts coaching really allowed m to let go of bad habits and fears that were holding me back from what I really wanted in life. Suzan was really in the moment with me every session. She listened and gave articulate feedback and guided me in ways I didn’t realize I was asking for. Through coaching I gained confidence and set some important goals that are now attainable.” Grayson

  2. Hi Suzan,
I feel so blessed to have friends, like yourself, who
know that women are multifaceted, and often have difficulty in undersanding and identifying their life purpose. Hence the skill of a personal life coach helps to hasten the process toward self-worth and confidence.

Your book will inspire many women to search within for their personal power and wisdom. I look forward to the completion and publishing of your book and a book signing party at my home.

  3. Dear Suzan,
I just started reading a wonderful book; you are a living example of the author’s purpose. It is called, “Writing to Change the World” by Mary Pipher. I am in a huge life transition, sometimes I am not certain where my feet are. Your sweet story of your Aunt Birdie Mae has helped to calm me where I am restless and inspire me where I am dulled. Thank you. I look forward to reading more from you and other wise women.
